About

I started Pilates in 2002 on the recommendation of my osteopath, who was treating me for various back-related issues and latterly Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI), which arose during my 16-year career in computer-related consultancy.

Having noticed considerable improvements throughout my body resulting from practicing Pilates, I decided to study the system in more depth resulting in a career change to allow me to help people in a similar situation to the one I used to be in.

I trained as a Matwork teacher with the New Pilates School under Helge Fisher (one of the founder members of Body Control Pilates®) and Stephanie Beeson. In late 2005, I commenced my Studio training with Polestar® Pilates UK,  becoming fully qualified in December 2006. Since then I have gained qualifications in yoga & working with those people experiencing various forms of lower back pain.

I am fully qualified to teach Pilates in either a Mat Class environment or for those seeking exercises customised to their needs on a One to One basis. I am committed to ongoing professional development, with regular attendance of workshops & courses particularly to help me work with specialist groups (e.g. pre & post natal women & those living with Osteoporosis).
